Tiling Schemes
You can change the look of a room by altering the layout of the tiles.
The classic way is to have a border tile at dado level with tiles in contrasting colours above and below this. However the same tiles can be used in blocks of colour to highlight features in the room such as a mirror or shower cubicle, and strips can be used to frame mirrors and basins or placed in vertical lines instead of horizontally. Rectangular tiles can be used in landscape format instead of the more usual portrait, or try placing them in a brick bond pattern for added interest. Basically anything goes so have fun playing with the design to create a room that is unique to you.
